Introduction to Global Business
MANAGMNT
This course is intended to broaden knowledge and understanding of globalization, international trade and finance, economic integration, global strategy, and world culture. Students will get an overview of the environments, markets, institutions, challenges, strategies, and operations of international and cross-cultural business. The globalization of business and associated challenges posed for the competitiveness of the modern enterprise will be covered. Additionally, the orientations, strategies, and tactics appropriate for international business success will be explored. Students will develop an understanding of the ways that culture impacts commercial enterprise. The major trends and challenges to global business today will be a focus. In addition to this core material, students will have opportunities to explore topics of their own interest through readings, case studies and individual projects.
