HTM and Sport Double Major
Event Supervisor, Oak View Group

HTM is an entirely new area to get to know and master in my time as UMass. It has further developed my people skills, and opened my eyes to the many markets involved in the customer service industry. Double majoring has been great on my job searches and target game day operations, and event management jobs much more. The ability to deal with people is so valuable, and learning how to provide great customer service is an essential skill.

A double major in HTM will benefit my future career because having those skills to deal with people is not only important with customers, but also with co-workers and bosses. Being able to talk to people will allow me to feel comfortable in any scenario I find myself in, including interviews. Some skills that help me are responsibility, accountability, and mindfulness. Isenberg’s HTM program has opened an entire new avenue of work I can go down in my future.
