The combination of having an OIM and HTM double major has given me a well rounded knowledge of the way a company operates and gives me the opportunity to make decisions both on an operational and hospitality level. It has given me the freedom to explore a large part of Isenberg and has helped me grow immensely.

The fusion of OIM and HTM distinguishes me as a candidate capable of bridging the gap between data-driven strategies and customer-centric solutions. Employers recognize the versatility and depth of knowledge that this dual major offers, positioning me as a valuable asset poised to contribute effectively to organizational objectives.

For me this year especially the career fair and recruiting events were something that helped me tremendously. The supportive atmosphere let me build connections with companies and helped advance in my internship search.

UMass HTM offers a superlative educational experience characterized by robust support networks and a diverse curriculum. The program’s emphasis on experiential learning and interdisciplinary collaboration has been particularly enriching and the professors having the hospitality experience allows for a deeper understanding of the industry. I value the variety of different courses which allow me to explore the symbiotic relationship between operations and hospitality as well.
