Check out these great resources for Isenberg students:
Take advantage of the resources available on IConnect, Isenberg’s Virtual Career Center. That site serves as the primary career resource for our students and includes many different guides, tools, and resources you should find helpful. You will see that we have curated specific resources organized by undergraduate major or grad program, as well as by student affinity groups (e.g., international students, women, LGBTQIA+).
Become familiar with Handshake, UMass Amherst’s job and internship platform. Click here to access our Handshake Quick Start Guide; you will need to upload your resume in order to be able to participate in on-campus interviews.
Isenberg Career Days 2023 will take place in person on Sept. 26th & 27th – click here for Day 1 company attendees and details and here for Day 2. Make an appointment to have your resume reviewed by a coach before the event. Click here to learn how to prepare for career fair success.
For students pursuing opportunities with public accounting firms, recruiting starts very early in September! Be ready for a professional firm panel event on the evening of Sept. 13th, and a firm BBQ outside of Isenberg on Sept. 14th. Be on the lookout to sign up for 1:1 appointments with firm representatives (e.g., “20 Minutes with EY”) during the week of Sept. 18th.
Chase Career Center:
The Chase Career Center provides career services to encourage professional development with the help of a group of career professionals. The Center is equipped with resources to host career events promoting both internships and full-time employment, alongside services including resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews and IConnect. IConnect is a virtual platform that curates opportunities and jobs for Isenberg students alongside multiple networking and career-related opportunities. Visit the Career Center in ISOM N200.
