First Year Classes
Transitions
Transitions is Isenberg's first-year seminar that supports students in their transition to college study and life. Led by undergraduate TAs, this two-semester course offers students a mix of orientational, life design, and professional development content to help them grow as independent self-learners, cultivate relationships within the School and beyond, and identify and explore extracurricular and professional interests. Enrollment is limited to 22 students per section.
Transfer Connection
Transfer Connection is a one-credit professional development course designed for incoming/new third-year transfer students with a shorter time horizon to graduate. The curriculum focuses on career documents, professional branding, networking, and interview skills, and introduces students to valuable resources and services offered through Isenberg's Undergraduate Office and the Chase Career Center.
Tuition & Aid
There are plenty of ways for you to help finance your college education. You can apply for scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study, or you may reach beyond UMass Amherst and get a part-time job in town.
