Who is eligible for the Isenberg MSA Professional Track?
Our MSA Program - Professional track is designed for both Isenberg and other students who have completed their undergraduate degree in accounting (or equivalent accounting course work).
Are there any residency requirements?
Residency is not a part of the requirement as the MSA can be completed 100% online and can be done from anywhere in the world.
I will be graduating from my undergraduate program soon. Is work experience necessary for this program?
No, the MSA program does not require any work experience for its incoming students. Upcoming and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Can undergraduate students take MSA courses?
Yes. As a senior accounting major at Isenberg you will have the option of taking up to 6 credits of MSA offerings. Specific information will be provided by the department as opportunities become available.
Undergraduate students at UMass Amherst and other colleges in the Five College Consortium can pursue a 4+1 option, completing their undergraduate degree and their master's degree in 5 years. The 4+1 option can also be accelerated, allowing students to complete both their undergraduate and master's degrees in fewer than 5 years. Choosing the accelerated option allows students to take up to 12 credits of MSA classes while still an undergraduate. Interested students should apply to a master's degree program in their junior year or early in their senior year.

Taking the certificate program before the MSA is not required.
I am enrolling in my last class before I graduate, is there a form I need to fill out?
Congratulations on reaching your goal of completing your MSA! If you are enrolling in your last class this semester, you must complete the Degree Eligibility Form and submit it to your academic advisor by the deadline included in your most recent enrollment reminder emails. This date varies depending on which semester you are graduating. Your advisor will get the remaining signatures/approvals required and send your form to the graduate school for final processing.

Once the Graduate School receives your complete and signed degree eligibility form, they will confirm that your information is accurate and that you meet the minimum GPA requirement. When they complete this review, they will change your expected graduation date. Please understand that it may take several weeks for the review to be completed from the time you submit your form to your advisor.
