OIM Mentors Club

The Operations and Information Management Mentor Program was created with the goal of fostering close connections between OIM students, and in doing so, supporting the movement towards a more inclusive and diverse atmosphere while cultivating the next generation of mindful and caring leaders. Through this program, mentors will support mentees in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:

• Support and guide new OIM students as they navigate through academic and professional decisions
• Provide information to new students regarding resources, events, and activities that are available to them
• Create a safe community space within OIM in which students can make connections with those who share their interests and perspectives

In addition to mentorship, club meetings will provide students with the opportunity to learn and participate in career development workshops, company visits, and hear from faculty, alumni, and professional speakers. We hope that by joining our program, students will learn how they can best navigate their way at UMass through other members’ insight, tips and tricks, guidance, and friendship.
