What influenced your decision to join this program?
When I decided to join this program, there were a few main components that my decision centered around: the alumni network, the graduate mentor program, and the opportunity for me to be involved with the athletic department. I knew that the alumni network stretches all over the world and across many different types of organizations. As for the graduate mentor program, I saw firsthand how important having a mentor is during my undergrad years. Here at Isenberg, the relationship is cultivated on a deep level, allowing students to learn as much as they can from industry leaders. Lastly, the opportunity to have hands-on experience in the UMass athletic department was crucial to me, and the professors assured me that this was something I would definitely be able to do.
How do you plan to use your degree after graduation?
My goal is to work in a college athletic department. I think my degree will add credibility to my name, help set me apart, and show that I am dedicated to working in the sport industry. This program is made up of a variety of different classes, and ensures that every student has a well-rounded education of the sport industry, which will help me be more versatile and adaptable in an organization. I also know that being part of McCormack means something, and this will help me develop more skills to be the best that I can be in the world of sport.
