Senior Ali Saif Wins Gerald F Scanlon Best Student Employee of the Year Award

Isenberg senior, Ali Saif is one of the ten students honored as this year's Gerald F Scanlon Best Student Employee of the Year! Ali has worked for the DEFA Film Library since 2019 as their Business Manager. The intent of the award is to recognize and honor students who have demonstrated outstanding performance by contributing their time and/or skill to help the university achieve its goals and objectives.  You can learn more about this award here.

Ali is an accounting major that will graduate in May 2021. He grew up in Pakistan and moved to the United States in 2018 for college. During his time at Isenberg, he worked as one of the administrators of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, served as a teaching assistant, and performed as the Business Manager of the DEFA Film Library, the largest resource of East German media outside the European Union. He has accepted an offer to serve as a corporate tax intern at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals this summer and will be joining the University of Virginia in the fall to pursue his graduate degree in accounting. He spends his spare time learning French and going to Dunkin'!
