On October 19, 2021, Dr. Irem Onder from HTM department was the guest speaker of Isenberg Marketing Club. She talked about the HTM department and benefits of being a HTM graduate. In addition, Dr. Onder introduced her elective class HTM 387- Information Technology and social media in Hospitality and Tourism Management, which is offered to all Isenberg students, the ones who are pursuing an IT minor, and the ones who are working towards data analytics certificate. The class includes topics such as the role of IT in tourism and hospitality, how the supply and demand side use IT, various IT solutions for different sectors in tourism and hospitality, and latest trends (e.g. robots, artificial intelligence, blockchain, autonomous vehicles, etc).
