The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (ODEI&B) invites you to join our “Suit Up for Success” clothing campaign!
Isenberg's Professional Wardrobe Closet is making a stylish comeback, and we're calling all fashion-forward faculty and staff to donate their gently used professional wear to this essential initiative.
Isenberg remains committed to promoting student success via innovative approaches for supporting our economically disadvantaged students. The goal of the “Suit Up for Success” campaign is to evolve Isenberg’s Professional Wardrobe Closet into a sustainable resource meant to promote inclusive professional development practices for all Isenberg students. Isenberg cannot make this initiative a success without staff and faculty who are generous enough to open their hearts—and closets—to our young emerging professionals.
From September 9th through September 27th, we encourage the Isenberg community to drop off any new and/or gently used business casual or professional attire at the front desk of the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the Isenberg School of Management (Room 116), or at the Office of Career Success (Room N207) during office hours. Donations are welcome later in the semester, and someone can be available to receive them by appointment.
Here are some tips for your donations:
- We gladly accept all sizes and styles of business casual and business professional attire, including shoes. We have a special need for larger sizes and gender-inclusive styles.
- Please ensure that donated clothes, if new, maintain their tags. If your donated clothes are gently used, please be sure that they are washed/dry-cleaned, pressed/ironed, and in good condition. New shoes can be maintained in their purchase box. Gently used shoes should be clean and without any scuffs, stains, rips, or holes.
- We will not be accepting any undergarments such as underwear, undershirts, bras/bralettes, and/or socks.
- If you have excess garment bags or a clothing rack lying unused, we would greatly appreciate those as well.
If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at DEIB@isenberg.umass.edu. By working together, we can make a meaningful impact on our students' success and the environment. Thank you for your generosity and support!
At this time, our office is not prepared to service non-Isenberg students. Our capacity is limited, and we are actively looking at options to be able to assist all UMass Amherst students in the foreseeable future, but that is not yet within our scope.
