This fall is nothing like any of us expected, but Isenberg faculty and staff are ready. I know you are too!
As we prepared for whatever eventuality this year would bring, we have been drawing on our deep experience in online learning.
This summer, we named five Faculty Teaching Fellows, exemplary and award-winning instructors widely known for the quality of their courses, innovative pedagogy, and use of technology. They have served as ambassadors to the rest of our faculty, identifying best practices and sharing them with their colleagues.
The Isenberg faculty—your faculty—are committed to delivering the quality education we are known for and that you rightfully expect, regardless of modality.
Similarly, the Office of Career Success, our academic advisors, and all our other student services are prepared and ready. We’re organizing online events—like a virtual career fair—and student clubs are also ramping up their schedules.
Let me be clear—we are not looking at the fall as a problem to be solved with short-term solutions; rather, the investments we are making now will carry us forward and help us maintain and advance our reputation as a top business school.
Andy Grove, former CEO of Intel, said of crises, “Bad companies are destroyed by crisis, good companies survive them, reat companies are improved by them.”
Isenberg is a great school and we are committed to being even better.
Not only are we a great school, we are a family, whether we see one another in the halls or on our screens. Reach out to this family, check in regularly with your professors, advisors, and peers, and take advantage of all we have to offer you. I’m excited to see the innovations that emerge from this experience, not just from faculty and staff, but you, the Isenberg student!
Stay safe, wear your masks, and know that wherever you are—we are all here for you at Isenberg!
