Kieto Mahaniah '21: Between finishing my masters from the Hanken School of economics, running all the operations for the HUMLOG Institute as the Operations Coordinator, and starting an a global NGO for the next generation of humanitarians, I have adopted a puppy, Kaylee! She was born in December, a Portuguese Water Dog with a heart of gold and a sass-level out of this world. We are ready to take on the challenges of this next phase of life. |

Mary Anne Smrz '80 MS: As an avid kayaker, I have spent many years since my graduation from UMass kayaking and facilitating kayaking retreats. In addition, I have written four books called my Reflections from the Red Kayak series. The books are a collection of insights relating experiences of kayaking and elements of nature to life. My latest book, Paddlin' with Thoreau, was published last year and I am excited to be presenting selections from my book at the Annual Gathering of the Thoreau Society in Concord from July 10-14 this year. Hannah is Director of Dining Operations at Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton, FL. She has been promoted three times in her career since starting at the IBIS Club and HOA in Florida and enjoys the work culture and alumni presence in South Florida area of Palm Beach and Boca Raton.
