The blunt force of the pandemic has caused enterprise leaders to face unprecedented dilemmas.  Can a hybrid or remote work model meet our customer needs?  Should we reconstruct our workspaces?  How do we slow worker turnover and attrition?  And how should we plan for the workplace of tomorrow?  At the same time, as our students prepare to launch their careers, they are asking how they can make strong impressions, sustain key relationships, and find meaning in their jobs in this unsettled environment.  These vexing dilemmas and more will be addressed by Lauren Brouhard, Head of Workforce Planning, Talent Management and People Analytics at Fidelity Investments in a conversation with Isenberg Professor Charlie Johnson.

Lauren Brouhard leads at the intersection of Fidelity’s business needs and human capital. She helps employees achieve their personal and professional goals, while supporting management in its efforts to have the talent and skills on board to execute its strategy.  Prior to her twenty-year career at Fidelity, Lauren was a reporter and managing editor at Institutional Investor magazine.  She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the University of Michigan.

Charlie Johnson is a Clinical Associate Professor at Isenberg where he teaches undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship and the MBA course, “Facing Dilemmas.” He is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and Trinity College, and was awarded the Isenberg Outstanding Teaching Award in 2019.
